MG Opens Affordable Ventilator Challenge due to COVID-19

MG Motor to offer a Rs. 10 lakh to the winning design and prototype under its Developer Program & Grant to fight COVID-19

Automobile manufacturers are taking the steps when it comes to coming up with innovative solutions to fight with Coronavirus pandemic. Recently MG Motor had announced an aid of ₹ 2 crore to fight the disease near its facilities in Gujarat & Gurugram. Now the company has started a unique challenge that will help create Ventilators in quick time which are affordable as well. The Affordable Ventilator Challenge is a part of company’s Developer Program & Grant will aid the patients who are infected with the deadly Coronavirus.

Once the pilot models are ready they will be tested by a team of medical experts for their efficiency. MG motors shall grant 10 lacs to the best ventilator design concept. In addition to this the car maker will also provide production support for the proposed ventilator prototype at its manufacturing facility in Gujarat. MG Motors are looking for the last dead line by April 15, due to criticality of the situation!
