Shri Sudhanshu Trivedi Ji Speech: Waqf Bill: “What a beautiful oppression did the Waqf do, we have become Muslim League and Shiv Sena”, Shri Sudhanshu Trivedi cornered the opposition on the Waqf Bill. Talking on the Waqf Bill in Rajya Sabha, the BJP member said that the government is committed to the welfare of the Muslim society.

Shri Sudhanshu Trivedi Ji Speech: During the discussion on the Waqf Amendment Bill-2025 in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday, BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi fiercely attacked the opposition. He said that this bill has been prepared with full seriousness and deliberation, but some people are engaged in spreading misunderstanding about its provisions. He raised the question that why are the Sunni and Shia Waqf Boards different in the country and why did the Waqf Board stake claim even on the Taj Mahal. During this, he also took a dig at the ideology of many parties opposing the Waqf Amendment Bill. He said that “What a beautiful oppression did the Waqf do, we have become Muslim League and Shiv Sena.” The BJP member said that the government is committed to the welfare of the Muslim community. He said, “This fight is between those who believe in the development of the society and those who only pursue their own interests.

Targeting the opposition, Trivedi said that some people are confused about the concept of and now their hopes are being dashed. He said, “Those who talk about minorities first weigh them, then work according to their agenda.” He questioned such a mentality, “If they neither follow the law, nor the rules, nor the orders of the courts, then do they consider themselves to be in another world?”

Waqf also claimed Surat Municipal Corporation – Sudhanshu Trivedi

The BJP Spokesman Shri Sudhanshu Trivedi; said that all the steps taken by the government have been taken within the ambit of the Constitution and in a just manner. Continuing his attack on the opposition, he said, “When the Mughals were stripped of all their rights during the British rule, how did the Waqf suddenly acquire ownership rights from Gujarat to Lucknow?” He said that the Waqf has also claimed the Surat Municipal Corporation, which shows that efforts are being made to put the orders of the previous governments above the Constitution.
